Physical Education

PE is about developing children’s enjoyment, confidence and skills in physical activity and introducing them to the pleasures and benefits of sport. Children participate in gymnastics, games and dance at agreed times throughout the school year. In addition, athletics will be provided outdoors when possible in the summer term. Children receive 2 hours of quality PE every week.Children are taught about the health and safety issues surrounding these activities from the outset.

For indoor activities children wear shorts and T-shirts. For outdoor activities they can wear shorts,
T-shirts and sensible trainers. NO JEWELLERY must be worn in PE lessons. Please remove earrings at home on PE days as school staff cannot undertake this job. We also ask that long hair is tied back on P.E days.

We have a fun Sports Day towards the end of the Summer Term; all parents and family
members are invited to join us for this event.

We have several Sports based Extra-Curricular clubs - see our extra curricular club page for more information.
